What it is

A marketplace for wedding car hire. Couples browse suppliers, check availability for their date and book, instead of trawling local directories and sending the same enquiry email to ten different companies.

Why it exists

Wedding car hire is still mostly stuck on phone calls and contact forms, which is slow for couples and no better for suppliers, who end up fielding enquiries for dates they’re already booked. A proper booking flow with real availability fixes both sides at once.

What the work looks like

• Supplier listings with availability, pricing and vehicle details, searchable by location and wedding date
• A booking flow that takes the back-and-forth out of checking whether a supplier is free
• Supplier-side tools for managing listings, availability and incoming bookings

Technical decisions

• Laravel 12, PostgreSQL and Tailwind, the usual stack, deployed via Forge
• Built as a marketplace from the ground up rather than a directory with a contact form bolted on
